"It's showtime!"
The resurgence of Tim Burton's iconic 1988 classic, Beetlejuice, has been all the craze with the sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, releasing September 2024 A.D. Collaborations in promoting the movie have ranged from phone cases to clothing lines to makeup collections, to one of a kind mementos, including the limited edition Sandworm Popcorn Bucket found at select cinemas. The hype around this film extends deep into the afterlife as ghouls and ghosts alike fall back into the abyss that is the Neitherworld.
There is now heavy speculation (and rightfully so) that there would potentially be a third movie, with the concept of needing to say Beetlejuice x3 to summon him. It makes complete sense. However, with the time it took between the first two, would it be possible while still keeping the legacy of the characters (actors) intact? What do you think?
All of that to say, the inspiration is everywhere; Beetlejuice inspired outfits, makeup looks, themed dates, pop up installations, and so much more. Some have mentioned it seems to be getting out of hand with the amount of coverage the film has been recieving, mainly within the influencer and content creator realm, but can you blame them (us)?! Peak spooky season and Beetlejuice is back? It's a no brainer. So many makeup looks created and it would be out of character for us (Curst) to not participate. The afterlife may be random, but this sure isn't.
